Visit to the immunology laboratory

From the project "I have PID, I'm not alone", we have organized a visit with a group of children with PID in the Vall d'Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus's immunology laboratory.
The goal was for patients to continue learning how the immune system works to help them to understand the diagnosis of immunodeficiency. This time we have asked what is the course of blood from when is extracted in blood extractions until the lab, what is sought in this type of blood tests and with what techniques and devices is working. Children have learned these basic concepts by doing various activities in the laboratory.
The participants have been researchers for a day and have been having a good time while learning.
