We participate in the European Archive of Genomes (EGA)

April 2018

Our group of Primary Immunodeficiencies (PID) of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) (Infection in Immunocompromised Pediatric Patients) participates in the project of the European Archive of Genomes (EGA), a scientific initiative that has been collectingthe genetic data of 800,000 people from all over the world during 5 years. Specifically, according to their promoters, the information -which is available for scientific groups under a strict system of confidentiality- has already allowed the discovery of the genetic variants of two minority diseases and the genetic susceptibility of glioblastoma, among other advances.
