This website is owned by the Barcelona PID Foundation, registered with the Registry of Foundations of the Generalitat of Catalunya (Registre de Fundacions de la Generalitat de Catalunya) under number 2859 and is subject to Royal Decree 1270/2003 for the special tax regime established by Law 49/2002 of December 23, on the "Tax Regime for Non-Profit Entities and Tax Incentives for Patronage" with address at Travessera de Gràcia 23, 3rd floor, 1st door, 08021 Barcelona.

This document regulates the general terms and conditions of use of the Barcelona PID Foundation website, hereinafter "The Foundation":

1.- User's commitment. The user of www.pidfoundationbcn.org agrees to use the website respecting the law, morals, good customs, and public order and to avoid any unlawful or harmful actions to the rights or interests of third parties. The user shall be liable for any damages arising from their breach of the law or the general terms of use set forth in this document.

2.- Merely informational and educational nature of the website. The content and information on this website are purely informational and educational and do not constitute medical advice or diagnosis of any kind.

3.- Intellectual and industrial property. This website's content, design, and computer code are protected by intellectual property rights owned by the Foundation. The user may view, download, and reproduce the content of the website solely for personal and non-commercial use. Reproduction, distribution, public communication, and transformation of part or all of the content of the website are prohibited without the prior authorisation of the Foundation.

If you are interested in using any of the contents of the website, you can request the corresponding authorisation in advance by writing to the following email address: pid_barcelona@pidfoundationbcn.org.

4.- Content and links. The Foundation does not guarantee continuous access to the contents of its website, the absence of viruses and/or other harmful components on the website on its servers, or its correct viewing or downloading.

Therefore, access to the Foundation's website and navigation through the different pages that make it up are the responsibility of the user. The Foundation assumes no responsibility for the content of third-party links referenced on the website.

The existence of links to other websites does not imply any relationship between the Foundation and the owner of these websites. The Foundation does not allow any form of external advertising on its website. We do not receive money for advertising spaces on our website.

The Foundation reserves the right to modify and/or update the terms and conditions set forth on this Website as well as its contents. The temporal validity of these conditions will be limited to their exposure time. Any controversy or claim arising from or related to these terms of use shall be governed by Spanish law, with the courts and tribunals of Barcelona being the only competent ones to hear the matter. If any of the provisions contained in these terms of use are declared illegal, null, or unenforceable by a court decision, the remaining provisions shall remain in force.

In accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights, with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR), as well as Law 34/2002, of July 11, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSICE or LSSI), we inform you that:

If you provide your personal data through the website (for example, when you fill out the contact form, make a donation, or subscribe to the Newsletter), it will be incorporated into a file of the Barcelona PID Foundation.

Data Collection

We will only obtain your data through the emails you send us and the data collection forms (to contact the foundation, subscribe to the Newsletter, request information, or make a donation) in which the mandatory fields are indicated. If you do not fill in these mandatory fields, processing your request will not be possible.

Uses and purposes of the collected data.
We will only process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Respond to inquiries or requests for information.
  • Send you the Barcelona PID Foundation newsletter by email if you have subscribed.
  • Interact with you on social networks.
  • Improve your user experience.
  • Comply with the legal obligations related to the receipt of donations.

In the specific case of donations, the Foundation will collect the data provided by donors for the purpose of issuing documentation accrediting the donation and to comply with its legal obligations. Under no circumstances will the Foundation collect or process donors' banking data in any way, as these will only be processed by the Stripe payment gateway integrated into the website. We provide you with the terms and conditions of use and the privacy policy of the payment gateway.

Under no circumstances will we transfer your personal data to other companies without your prior express, informed, and unequivocal consent.

Security Measures

We have adopted the necessary technical and organisational measures to ensure your personal data's security and integrity and prevent its loss, alteration, and/or access by unauthorised third parties.

Exercise of Rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, limitation of processing, and opposition to processing, as well as request data portability by sending an express request, together with a copy of your ID card, NIE or passport to pid_barcelona@pidfoundationbcn.org.

If you are subscribed to the Newsletter and no longer wish to receive it, you can indicate it in different ways: by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link that you will find at the bottom of each email or by sending an email to pid_barcelona@pidfoundationbcn.org requesting to be unsubscribed.

Legitimacy of the processing

The processing of data carried out by the Barcelona PID Foundation is based on the consent you have given at the time of providing your data and will be governed by the principles of Lawfulness, Fairness and Transparency, Data Minimisation, Storage Limitations, Integrity and Confidentiality.

Revocation of consent

The consent given, both for the processing and for the transfer of data of the interested parties, is revocable at any time by communicating it to the Barcelona PID Foundation in the terms established in this Policy for the exercise of the rights of the data subjects. This revocation will, in no case, have a retroactive effect.

Retention of personal data

Personal data will only be processed for as long as the relationship with the foundation lasts, provided that your deletion or opposition rights are not exercised.

However, the data must be kept for the period during which the legal obligations affecting the Barcelona PID Foundation in tax matters persist.
